Just a friendly PSA… It is Autumn in Australia.
If you haven’t done it yet. Don’t forget to prune your established Helleborus x hybridus plants. If your Helleborus x hybridus (“acaulescent” except H. niger) plants have been in the ground for at least a season or two you can… and should remove all old foliage. That’s right, ALL OLD FOLIAGE. Once this is done, feed them. We recommend applying ANY COMPLETE FERTILISER as per manufacturers directions of use.
You will be rewarded with beautiful fresh new seasons growth!
For other varieties of Helleborus ( “caulescent species” and hybrids) such as H. argutifolius, H. lividus, H. foetidus and H. x sternii. Prune any dead old foliage and leave them alone until after flowering.

Enjoy!
